Bestselling and award-winning author of historical fiction and the occasional thriller. Dueling pianist. Cute shoes.

Besides writing books, playing music, and creating art, my favorite things are my puppies, Rudy Patootie and Pippa Sue. So far, he’s chewed up seven rugs, two pairs of shoes, and every throw pillow in the house. She’s still a puppy and chewing up the house as quickly as Rudy. Most days, it looks like a cotton factory exploded in my living room, because she pulls the stuffing out of her toys. I love these silly pups!
Native Mississippi belle, blonde, blue, 5’4″, Scorpio, residing with my trophy husband near Nashville, Tennessee. Redecorating, gardening, and canning take up most of my free time.
I’m a dueling piano player by night – the sales admin of a national manufacturing company headquartered in Nashville by day – an indie author in my spare time – and the proud owner of an Etsy shop called Rooms Adorned (opening April 1st) that sells one-of-a-kind handmade home decor. Stop laughing! Yes, there are 32 hours in a day. No, I don’t sleep; thanks for asking.
I’m a die-hard genealogy buff, and you’ll find a majority of my blog is about history and family with the occasional snippet from one of my books or my work-in-progress, be it art or a novel. Click on the “select category” button on the page to find something/someone specific.
My writing/blogging schedule changes every year. I pretty much took 2017 off from writing and blogging to work on my new house and my garden. Now it’s 2018 and I’m baaack! I haven’t figured out a blogging schedule yet, but I have so much to say, so many things to tell you, so many irons in the fire, I’m sure I’ll post something nearly every day!
As always, I will continue to write “On This Day” blogs about various ancestors on the date of their birth, death, marriage, etc. There are over 9000 people in my family tree. We’re gonna be here a while.
Ok, let’s get on with it, shall we? Don’t be shy. Say something. Let me know you stopped by.
